A post has been viral on social media for a year now, according to which Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds, was found dead in his house. The Facebook post with the picture of Reynolds on Fox News layout further claimed that ‘he was found on his desk with a bullet in his head, along with a script for a Green Lantern film’.
The post read: “News is coming in that Actor Ryan Reynolds has been found dead inside his house. First police statements indicate that he was found on his desk with a bullet in his head, along with a script for a Green Lantern film, which he was going to star in. The Killer has not been identified but if rumors are to be believed, the perpetrator was wearing a red Spandex.”


At the time of filing this report, the above post was shared by over 32,000 Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, it was found to be FAKE as he is very much alive.
Firstly, there has been no credible reports of Ryan Reynolds being dead.
Moreover, the viral post is dated May 31st, 2018 which is over a year old and he was recently featured in the movie ‘Pokémon: Detective Pikachu’ which was released in May 2019.
Further on scanning Reynolds’ verified Twitter handle, we found that he has been quite active on the micro-blogging site and his last tweet was on June 3rd, 2019 when he wished actress Morena Baccarin on her birthday.


Hence, this proves that the viral post about Ryan Reynolds’ death is FAKE.
