BJP's polling agents were not tortured in Bengal; this picture is from Bangladesh

A picture of three men being tortured has been doing rounds on social media. The post claims that they were being punished because they were BJP’s polling agents.
“यह तस्वीर प.बंगाल की है। इनका कसूर मात्र इतना था की ये लोग भाजपा के पोलिंग ऐजेंट बने थे।” the caption read.

At the time of filing the report, the above post was shared by around 17,000 facebook users.

Another Facebook post had over 900 shares.
FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, we found it to be fake.
On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search the picture, we found the same image on Yandex.
A report published by Kaler Kantho dated back to 7 September 2017. As per the report, the incident took place at Cox’s Bazar Teknaf border. Teknaf is a place in Bangladesh.

The report states that the three youngsters used to steal clothes and gold from poor Rohingyas. Union Council member Abdul Gaffar told the newspaper that the three were handed over to Teknaf police station by the people.
The same story was published on another website named Sheersha Khobor.
This proves that the above post is FAKE and the picture is from Bangladesh.
