FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be old and misleading.
We got our first clue when we saw a reply to one of the Twitter post claiming that the video is of 2018.

We then clicked on the video link given in the comment section and found that the same video was uploaded YouTube by Fouj96Crori Soldier96Crori on July 2, 2020, claiming that the video is of an event ‘Delhi Fateh Divas 2018’.

Another video of the same event can be seen here.
On digging further, we found the same video on Instagram by fouj96crori dated September 13, 2018.

Another video of the same event can be seen here.
Moreover, we found that the same video was posted on Facebook as well in 2018. The Facebook caption read, “#DelhiFatehDivas2018 #babaavtarsinghjisursinghwale # DalPanth #BabaSherSinghNihangSinghji #BabaRanjodhSinghNihangSinghji #GursherSinghNihangSingh #BudhaDal #AkalhiAkal”

On comparing the screenshots of the viral video and screenshots of the old 2018 video, we can clearly see that the viral video is old and is falsely linked with the ongoing farmer’s protest.

We also found a news article by TFI Post dated March 21, 2018, claiming, “The Delhi Fateh Diwas was a non-existential event until in 2014, the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) demanded from the Central Government that the days of March 21st and 22nd every year be commemorated as ‘Delhi Fateh Diwas’. This was done to mark the capture of the Red Fort by Khalsa forces in March 1783.”

Hence, with the help of the above information, it is clear that an old video of Nihang Sikh rally is being falsely being linked to recent farmers’ protest.
