Amidst the public outrage over the alleged Hathras gang-rape incident, a screenshot of a news bulletin by Aaj Tak is being shared on social media.
According to the screenshot, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath defended the accused and said that they are hot bloeded and tend to make mistakes.
“ठाकुरों का खून गर्म है, ठाकुरों से गलतियां हो जाती हैं, ” the post in Hindi read.
(Translation: Thakurs (the accused) are hot-blooded, they tend to make mistakes)

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be fake and edited.
Since the post Screenshot read Aaj Tak, we checked the official YouTube channel of Aaj Tak to find the said report.
We ran a keyword search using ‘aaj tak yogi adityanath hathras’ on YouTube and found multiple reports by the channel where the same image of CM Yogi Adityanath was used.

We then did a further search and found the original video from where the screenshot has been taken.
The video was uploaded by Aaj Tak on their official Twitter handle on October 2.

We compared the viral image with the original one and found that the text has been added using photo editing software.

Moreover, we also did an extensive keyword search but did not find any news report to support the viral quote.
Hence, we can say that the quote has been falsely attributed to Yogi Adityanath and the screenshot is fake.
