A video has surfaced on the internet in which a bald man can be seen talking about the Congress.
In the video, the man is talking about how the mother-son (Sonia-Rahul) duo is destroying the party. He can be heard saying that we were wrong, Congress party was wrong. He also calls Manmohan Singh ‘remote-controlled’ PM.
The caption of the video reads- “Finally, a congressman speaks…and speaks the truth!! It is time for @INCIndia to think about what they want. Slavery of @RahulGandhi @priyankagandhi or NATION”

 We found the same video with the caption- “Pls listen to Mr Ajay Rai, the congress candidate against Modi Ji at Varanasi👇🏽”


 

FACT CHECK

When we fact-checked the claim, we found that the claim is FAKE. The man in the video is neither Ajay Rai nor any Congressman.
On putting a screengrab of the video through Reverse Image Search, we found the Facebook profile of Anil Boolchandani, the man in the video.

In the caption of the video, he writes “मेरे दुवारा नाटकीय रूपांतरण” (Translation- A dramatic act by me) making it clear that the video is staged.
We also checked the official twitter handle of Ajay Rai and he doesn’t look anything close to the man in the video.

The above information proves that the man in the video is not Ajay Rai or any Congressman. Hence, the video should not be shared.
