A picture of a self-proclaimed leader and activist, Vinay Dubey, is going viral shared on social media with a claim that his mother married a Muslim man named Mahmood (his father) and gave him a Hindu name so that he can mislead Hindus.
Dubey was arrested for allegedly disseminating ‘false rumours’ that led to a mass gathering at Bandra station.

NewsMobile went through Vinay Dubey’s social media account and came across a tweet where he has mentioned his father.
He retweeted a tweet by Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. In the tweet, dated April 10, Deshmukh said that Jatashankar Dubey, an auto driver from Airoli in Mumbai had donated Rs 25,000 towards the Maharashtra CM’s coronavirus relief fund.
