NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be false.
We put the video through InVid and extracted keyframes of the video. We then ran a Reverse Image Search on the keyframes and found an article on a Turkish website, featuring the same video.
“The reporter of a comedy program in Lahore, Pakistan, as part of the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic, repeatedly slapped people who did not wear masks on the street. Those moments broke the record for viewing on social media, ” the report said.
Taking a cue from the above information, we ran a keyword search and found the original video on YouTube. The video was uploaded by 24 News, a Pakistani channel, on July 13, 2020.
According to the video description, the name of the show is Seeti 24 and the reporter in the video goes by the name Sajjad Jani.
The viral clip can be seen at 5:21 min of the video, which is the same as the post. Moreover, the Union health Minister of India is Dr. Harsh Vardhan Trehan, and there has been no media report of him indulging in any such activities during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hence, based on the above fact-check, it is clear that the video is from Pakistan and the claim is false.
