A screenshot of a tweet attributed to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is being shared on social media. In the tweet, Big B can be seen supporting actions of BMC in relation to the demolition of actor Kangana Ranaut’s property.
“कंगना रनौत का ऑफिस अगर अवैध रूप से बना है तो #BMC को पूरा अधिकार इसे तोड़ने का, ” the tweet read.
(English Translation: If Kangana Ranaut’s official has been made illegally, then BMC has full rights to demolish it)

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be fake.
The first thing we noticed in the image is the outlay difference. The post was evidently different from the current Twitter format, in terms of the time, date, retweet and likes format and font size.

Moreover, we also noticed that all of Amitabh Bachchan’s tweets contain the tweet number at the beginning. However, the screenshot that is viral on social media had no tweet number.

Also, in the viral image, the tweet date is mentioned as September 9, 2020. But we did not find any such tweet on the official verified Twitter handle of Amitabh Bachchan, dated September 9, 2020.

Hence, based on the above fact check, it is clear that the viral tweet is fake and it has been morphed to create a false narrative.
