A screenshot of a news bulletin allegedly aired by ABP News is being shared on social media. According to the image, Uttar Pradesh Government has said that students will not be provided with scholarships in 2020 due to Budget constraint.
“यूपी छात्रों को इस साल छात्रवृत्ति नहीं मिलेगी. बजट की कमी…” the text on the bulletin read.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be false.
We ran a keyword search and found a report by The Times of India dated February 19, 2020, stating that there have been some cuts in the scholarship budget as compared to last year.

‘The budget that was tabled in the UP assembly on Tuesday made a provision of Rs 2,035 crore for SC students, as against Rs 2,037 crore allocated last year,’ the report stated.
Upon further research, we also found a news report by ABP News dated September 2, 2020, regarding the scholarship notice that has been issued. The report stated that 11,460 students will be given scholarships.

We also found the revised time table for the verification and other processes of the post-matric and pre-matric scholarships on the official Govt website.
Moreover, we also analysed a few news bulletins by ABP News and found the text format and font is different than the viral image. The same can be seen in the images below.

Hence, based on the above information, it is clear that the picture in question is morphed and fake.
