A video of mega march has gone viral on social media claiming that it was a mega rally of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers organised in AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s bastion Hyderabad.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
With the help of InVID tool, we got keyframes of the video. On putting keyframes through Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same video on YouTube dated December 27, 2019, claiming that it was taken during the first-ever meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Hyderabad, where thousands of Swayamsevaks participated, followed by demonstration of physical exercises.

Further, we also found another article on the Scroll dated December 26, 2019, claiming that a large number of social media users reacted and posted the video of RSS workers marching with sticks in Hyderabad.

Also, reaction of journalist Sucheta Dalal was seen on December 26, 2019.


On digging further, we found similar pictures of mega march in Hyderabad in a news article by Gulf News dated December 26, 2019, claiming that RSS members marched through streets beating drums and blowing horns.

Further, similar pictures of RSS mega march in Hyderabad was also posted by news agency ANI on Twitter, on December 25, 2019.


In conclusion, we can say that the video of RSS March in Hyderabad is of 2019 and not recent.
