FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be fake.
We got our first clue when we found a post to the link claiming that the message related to the funding is fake.

We then clicked on the website link that we found on the viral post, which led us to the website of Covid-19 funding government grants. When we opened the website, we found the text that read, “The Government has ordered payment of ₹130,000 to all citizens above the age of 18 years old.”

On clicking on the ‘Continue’ button, nothing happened and feedback of ‘Thanks’ was displayed on the screen.

Also, the URL of a government website has ‘gov’, ‘nic’ or ‘org’ in the end. But nothing like this appeared.
However, we found a tweet by PIB dated November 24, 2020. PIB tweeted that the message claiming that Centre has ordered the payment of ₹130,000 as COVID-19 funding to all citizens above the age of 18 is fake.

In conclusion, with the help of the above information, it is clear that the viral link to COVID-19 funding website is fake.
