NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be misleading.
We ran a keyword search and found a video by Sakshi TV on YouTube dated Aug 22, 2016.
“Sudha Murthy wife of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy Sold Vegetables at Rayara mutt, ” the title read.

However, when we ran another search, we came across a report from 2013 report by Bangalore Mirror.
According to the article, three days in a year, she wakes up at 4 am and heads to the Raghavendra Swamy temple in Jayanagar. For four hours, she cleans the kitchen, washes dirty utensils, dusts the shelves, chops vegetables, takes inventory of stock, sweeps the yard and empties the trash cans as part of the ‘Seva’ at the mutt.

“Giving money is easy, because it is a simple transaction. But doing physical Seva is not,” the article quoted her as saying.
Upon further research, we found the same picture along with some others in an article from 2016 by Oneindia Kannada. According to the article, the picture was taken during her ‘Seva’ at the Mutt when she was sorting vegetables and other gifts offered by devotees.

Hence, from the above fact check, it is clear that the picture is being shared with a misleading claim. Sudha Murthy is not selling vegetables but is only sorting them out, as part of her ‘Seva’ at the mutt.
