Did COVID-19 spread at a top Delhi private hospital, here is the fact check

Amid the Coronavirus outbreak, a claim has surfaced on the internet according to which as many as 150 health workers have been quarantined at Delhi’s premier Max Hospital in Saket.
The claim read: “Scary, 150 health workers quarantined at Max Hospital Saket. Stay safe our #CoronaWarriors”

FACT CHECK

We fact-checked the above claim and found it to be misleading.
NewsMobile spoke to senior doctors from the hospital who denied the claim and called it FAKE.
The hospital in a statement clarified that 39 of its staff members, including doctors and nurses have been in quarantine within a separate and isolated wing in the hospital after two patients tested positive for coronavirus. The hospital also said that ‘all 39 individuals are asymptomatic and will be tested on Tuesday (April 14, 2020)’.
Max Hospital also stated that “there are 154 employees deployed in shifts in the COVID ward. none of the thee employees has had exposure to the virus. They are working in shifts and are sta.ying on the hospital premises to reduce any risk of infection to their families and neighbours”.

According to the hospital, so far three hospital staffers including a doctor, a nurse and a non-medical staffer have been tested positive for COVID-19
Additional Facts:
NewsMobile fact check further revealed that as of 8:45 pm on April 13, a nurse at the cancer ward of the Max hospital in Patparganj had tested Positive. The entire hospital where she stayed along with the 150 other nurses was quarantined.
