After Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for Coronavirus, a picture has surfaced on the internet in which Shah can be seen sitting on the hospital bed while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen standing beside him.
NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.
On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across many similar pictures of PM Modi in a hospital suggesting that the picture was from the time when PM Modi visited the hospital in Ladakh to meet the soldiers who were injured in the clash with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley.
We found the original picture on the official website of Press Information Bureau (PIB) in which PM Modi can be seen interacting with one of the soldiers. The picture was taken on July 03, 2020.
In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that Amit Shah’s face was superimposed on the soldier’s face using photo editing software.
In conclusion, the above information establishes that the picture in question is morphed.
