Following the controversy surrounding Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s comment about Lord Rama being a Nepali and real Ayodhya being in Nepal, another statement attributed to Oli started doing rounds on social media according to which he is claimed to have said ‘Issac Newton discovered gravity in Nepal’.
The statement read: “Newton ne gravity ki khoj Nepal me hi ki thi”
However, the name was written as KP Loli along with Oli’s picture.
At the time of filing this report, the above post was shared over 1,000 times.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
First, we did a Google search with keywords such as ‘KP Oli’, ‘Newton’, ‘Gravity’, ‘Nepal’, etc and found no authentic report to support the above claim.
We further found that Newton actually discovered gravity in the year 1687 at Woolsthorpe Manor in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.
In conclusion, the above information proves that the viral post in circulation is FAKE and the statement is falsely attributed to Nepal PM KP Oli.
