A video is making rounds on social media in which security forces can be seen beating people and dragging them on the road. The caption of the video claims that it is from Jammu and Kashmir.
The caption in Hindi read: “या अल्लाह कश्मीर का जुल्म खत्म करने के लिए कोई सद्दाम हुसैन जैसा फरिश्ता भेज दे. “”””अमीन “”
FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post we found the claim attached to the video to be FAKE.
On putting the keyframes of the video we came across a news bulletain on the verified YouTube channel of Pakistan’s 24 News HD which is about the above video.
The title of the video dated February 7th, 2017 read: “ATC Lahore rejects plea to summon PM, CM Punjab, in Model Town tragedy case.”
Then on putting keywords such as ‘Model Town tragedy,’ ‘Pakistan’, ‘Punjab’, we found another YouTube video dated July 31st, 2014. The caption of the video read: “2014 Lahore Massacre: Killing the unarmed PAT workers”
The above information proves that the video is actually from Pakistan Lahore and not from Jammu and Kashmir.
