A picture collage of a woman’s face is doing the rounds on social media with a claim that she underwent 17 surgeries to get a look similar to a Barbie doll.
“Trying To Look Like A Barbie Doll. 17 Operations In 6 Years. These Are Her Final Results At 68 Years Old. Sad But True, ” the post claimed.
At the time of filing the report, the above post had more than 3,000 shares on Facebook.
FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.
We started the investigation by cropping the pictures and putting them through Reverse Image Search. We found that the same posts were shared back in 2019 also.
However, while scanning through the search results on Yandex- the Russian search engine, we came across a picture of the same person.
The picture was uploaded by makeup artist Louis Baptista on his Instagram page and a part of the caption read: Please go follow @weirdohelena I’ll be bringing her to life and playing as the character, so stay tuned for future appearances!
Louis Baptista also shared the video of how this character was created.
Hence, from the above post, it is clear that the woman did not undergo 17 operations to look like a barbie doll, instead it’s the work of a makeup artist.
This proves that the post in question is fake.
