In this context, a prescription from two leading hospitals in Delhi-NCR is going viral on social media.
In the viral pictures, several drugs such as hydroxychloroquine, vitamin C, Zinc tablets can be seen to have been prescribed to a COVID-19 patient who was put in homecare or self-isolation.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
In a Facebook post, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital clarified that the prescription being shared in the name of the hospital is fake and the doctor’s signature has been forged.
“It has been brought to our notice that someone has circulated a fake image and forged the doctor’s signature. #OfficialSGRH strongly dissociates itself from such messages, ” they wrote.

The other prescription that is being shared is of Medanta Hospital.
Talking to NewsMobile, the hospital said, “medical prescription is specific to a patient’s health condition. The shared prescription for the treatment of COVID-19 should not be shared publicly and should NOT be used as a treatment by any individual.”

Hence, it is amply clear that the post in question is misleading and false.
