A video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reading a letter has gone viral on social media. In the letter, he is talking about Amit Shah and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi’s ‘secret deal’ about seats in Bihar elections.
The Facebook caption read, “Allah Na Kare Ki Ye Baat Sahi Ho
AMIT SHAH aur AKBAR OWAISI ke Bihar Election Ke Planning Gujraat me Amit Shah Ke Ghar par huwi. Arvind Kejriwal
(Translation: May Allah forbid that this is true. Amit Shah and Akbar Owaisi’s Bihar election planning took place at Amit Shah’s house in Gujarat. Arvind Kejriwal)

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
With the help of InVID tool, we got the keyframes of the video. On putting one of the keyframes of the video through Google Reverse Image Search, we found a similar screengrab in a news article on Indian Express dated July 17, 2016, claiming that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had an interactive session, titled ‘Talk to AK’, where people from across the country asked him questions over the phone, through text messages and through social media.

Moreover, we also found that India TV also reported a similar story in their news article on July 17, 2016.

On digging further, we found the same video on YouTube by Delhi Government dated July 18, 2016. In the video Arvind Kejriwal reads the letter written to him by Senior Advocate Yatin Oza about a secret deal between BJP leader Amit Shah and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Hence, with the help of the above information, it is clear that viral video of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is old and falsely linked with recent Bihar elections. Don’t fall for false and misleading claims.
