A picture of West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh on a hospital bed is being shared on social media.
The posts claim that BJP leaders went to meet Dilip Ghosh in the hospital without masks even after he tested positive for COVID-19.
“Meeting #COVID Positive Dilip Ghosh without wearing any Mask. Only BJP Leaders can Show Such Courage,” the Facebook post read.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be misleading.
We found that Dilip Ghosh was admitted to a private hospital after testing positive for coronavirus on October 6, 2020.

We also found that he was discharged from the hospital on October 20, 2020, after reports confirmed that he has recovered.

However, when we ran the picture through Reverse Image Search, we found the same picture in several news articles from 2018 when he was admitted to AMRI Hospital in Salt Lake for a backbone surgery.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the picture of Dilip Ghosh in hospital is an old one and is being shared with misleading claims.
