Following massive protests in the US over the death of a 46-year old African-American man, George Floyd, a picture is being circulated online claiming to be from one of the protests.

We put the image through Reverse Image Search and found the same image in an article published in The Guardian on February 18, 2017.
” Protesters in Barcelona urge Spain to take in more refugees, ” the headline of the article read. The guardian credited the picture to Associated Press (AP)
We found the same picture on AP Images too. According to the caption, the picture was taken in Feb 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.

The above information proves that the picture in circulation is NOT related to the recent protests in the US. Hence, the claim is false.
