Recently a picture of the New York Times newspaper started doing rounds on social media claiming to be of the newspaper’s front-page on Kashmir of the issue published on September 27, 2019.
The pictures are being circulated with the implication that it is The New York Times’s coverage of the humanitarian crisis in Jammu and Kashmir.

Of course Kashmir belongs to India.
Of course Kashmiris are Indians.
Of course Pak & IK has nothing to do with Kashmir.
But after what thugs have done with Kashmiris, had I been a Kashmiri I would have praised Imran Khan.

FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the picture of the newspaper, we found it to be misleading.
We noticed that in picture two separate sheets can be seen, one with The New York Times title on it and other with the full page coverage on Kashmir.
Moreover, on the bottom left side of the picture, the text “Sponsored by International Humanitarian Foundation Inc” along with the website name can be seen.
We also found a report by Newswire ANI o the advertisement published in The New York Times.
We also check the front page issue of September 27 and September 28 on their website.
The above information proves that the above claim is false.
