A video of Donald Trump saying ‘I can’t breathe’ mockingly is being shared on social media with a claim that he is mocking George Floyd, an African-American man who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for almost nine minutes constraining airflow.
“But y’all Trump fans right? This man is clearly a whole RACIST mocking the way George Floyd died that’s just wrong on so many levels. 😡😡😡😡” the caption read.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found the claim to be false.
When we took out the keyframes of the video and put them through Reverse Image Search, we found the extended version of the video uploaded by Ruptly on February 21, 2020.
The title of the video read, ‘USA: Trump mocks Bloomberg and Klobuchar for “chocking” at Democratic debate’.


In the video, Trump can be heard saying, “Look, Bloomberg made a fool out of himself last night, he choked. He’s another one, he’s going, ‘Ah, I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe!” at 1:18 minutes.
According to the description, the video is from a Trump rally in Colorado Springs on February 20, 2020, wherein he mocked Democratic presidential hopefuls Mike Bloomberg and Amy Klobuchar for ‘choking’ at debates in Las Vegas, whereas, George Floyd died on May 25, 2020.
From the above information, we can establish that the claim attached to the viral video is false and Trump did not mock George Floyd’s death.
