A picture of Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has surfaced on the internet in which she can be seen begging with a bowl in hand.

NewsMobile fact checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.
On looking closely, we noticed the watermark of Alamy- a British stock photography company, on the image.
We then put the picture through Reverse Image Search and added keywords like ‘Woman’, ‘Begging’, ‘Alamy’. The search led us to the original picture on the official website of Alamy.
According to the description, the picture is a woman begging in Pondicherry.
In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that Alia Bhatt’s face was superimposed over the old woman’s face using photo editing software.
On digging further, we found the picture from which Alia Bhatt’s face was cut-out to use in the above picture.
It is a still from 2016 Bollywood movie ‘Udta Punjab’.
In conclusion, the above information proves that the picture in question is morphed.
