NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be FAKE.
We got our first clue when we saw the comment section of Facebook post, calling out the fake post.

Also, when we analysed the television screengrab carefully, we noticed that viral screengrab is different from the original screengrab of AajTak.

  1. The size and placement of AajTak logo is different.
  2. There is no ticker at the bottom of the viral screenshot.
  3. The font style and size is different when we compare the viral screenshot and the original screenshot of AajTak.

We also found a tweet by PIB dated December 1, 2020, claiming that the television screengrab of Nirmala Sitharaman is morphed. They also clarified that the central government has not taken any decision regarding a 24 per cent hike in DA.

Moreover, we also found an article by Financial Express dated December 2, 2020, claiming that the Central Government has denied any hike in Dearness Allowance (DA).

Hence, the viral television screengrab of AajTak with the claims of 24 per cent hike in DA is false. Don’t fall for misleading posts.
