In the image, it can be seen that Ayyub shared a picture of former President Pranab Mukherjee with the caption, “The man who rejected martyr Afzal Guru’s petition is dead. Afzal Guru is at peace today.”

The first thing we noticed was that the alignment and layout of the tweet were different from normal tweets.

Moreover, Ayyub herself confirmed that the picture being circulated is fake and has been created digitally.
“This is how the fake news factory runs its agenda. This photoshopped tweet attributed to me has been circulating all over social media including whats app and instagram and has led to targeted harassment yet again. The more things change the more they remain the same, ” she posted on Facebook.
