A picture of Amitabh Bachchan is being shared on social media with a claim that he visited the Haji Ali Dargah after recovering from Coronavirus.

On July 11, 2020, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to inform that he has been admitted to hospital after testing COVID-19 positive.
T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..

However, on August 2, 2020, he was released from hospital after testing negative.

We ran a keyword search using ‘Amitabh Bachchan visits Haji Ali’ from August 2 to the present day, but did not find any news report to support the viral claim.
We also ran an advance search on Twitter but did not find any tweet by Big B or any reputed media house about him going to Haji Ali.
We also found that Haji Ali Dargah has been closed since March 2020 due to Coronavirus.
We then put the viral picture through Reverse Image Search and found that the picture was taken in 2011 when he visited Ajmer Sharif.
According to an article, published by Aaj Tak, he visited Ajmer Sharif in 2011 after 40 years.
The same was also published in an article by The Hindu.
Upon further research, we also found the tweet by Amitabh Bachchan from 2011 regarding his Ajmer Sharif visit.
“On my way to Ajmer Sharif ..was there almost 40 years ago .. so much has changed since for me ..reason enough to thank and pray .., ” he wrote.
Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the picture is circulation is old and the claim attached to the picture is false.
