Soon after Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital after testing COVID-19 positive, a video of his started doing rounds on social media in which he can be heard hailing healthcare workers at Nanavati Hospital for their efforts to deal with coronavirus. It is being claimed that the video is recent and it was shot from the Nanavati Hospital after Bachchan was admitted.

Our investigation revealed that the video in question is real but the claim attached to it is false as it is an old video.
After the video went viral, Nanavati Hospital in a statement, refuted the claims and clarified that the video in question was shot by Big B in April 2020 to motivate healthcare workers.
The statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to a video which is in circulation on social media where Shri Amitabh Bachchanji acknowledges the efforts of healthcare workers. The aforesaid message was created in April 2020 to motivate the frontline nurses, doctors and staff working in COVID wards”
Hence, we can conclude that the video in question is old and it is being shared with misleading claims.
