A video is doing rounds on social media in which a self-proclaimed sadhu Narsingh Vani from Uttar Pradesh is claiming that all the four accused of the gang rape and murder of Telangana veterinary doctor belonged to the Muslim Community. But since three of then were minors, their name was changed and was given Hindu names.
“All four #rapists of Priyanka Reddy Hyderabad are #Muslims but because three out of four rapists are #minor so their names can’t be disclosed.. So Communist Jihadi #Owaisi govt and #police of Andhra gave #imaginary_hindu names to those three rapist to prove it secular rape and murder…….” the text read (to read the full text, see the post).

In a press conference held on November 29, 2019, the police announce the names and age of all the accused arrested as following (see 1:10 min of the video) –
Mohammed: Age 26 years
Jollu Shiva: 20 years (Approx.)
Jollu Naveen: 20 years (Approx.)
Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu: 20 years (Approx.)

In another media briefing, help after all four accused were killed in an encounter after they tried to run, the police again confirmed their identity (see 2:22 min).

Also, in an article, The Quint talked to family members of the accused after heir arrest and the names of the accused’s immediate family members suggest that they do not belong to the Muslim community.
The above information proves that the claims that three of the accused are minor and belong to the Muslim community are false.
