A set of pictures is doing rounds on social media in which few women can be seen taking measurements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A claim is being attached to the pictures that these women are PM Modi hairdressers and millions of rupees are being spent on PM Modi’s grooming.

The text on the picture in Hindi read: “ऐसा फ़क़ीर कभी देखा है आपने जिसकी दाड़ी कटिंग और बाल कटिंग में लाखो लाख ख़र्च होते”
(Translation: Have you ever seen a mendicant, whose hair cutting and hair cutting cost millions)

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
We cropped and put all the pictures individually through Reverse Image Search and came across an article dated April 21, 2016, which had featured all the above pictures.

According to the article, the above pictures were clicked when PM Modi’s measurements were taken for his wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
On digging further we found a video titled ‘Making of Narendra Modi’s figure – Madame Tussauds Singapore’ and the description read ‘Curious to know the process of making Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s figure? Then watch this video!’.

Hence, the above information proves that the claims attached to the above pictures are false.
