Fact Check: This video of the missing girl is from Pakistan and not Nagpur

A video of police personnel with a missing girl is bring shared online with the claim that the girl was found in Nagpur and can speak only Tamil.
“This baby in Nagpur station she can speak only Tamil. Just forward to best of your known people. It may reach appropriate person. Tks” the caption read.

When NewsMobile fact-checked the video, we found that it is from Pakistan.
Upon listening to the video carefully, the person in uniform can be heard saying that “his name is Sarfaraz Awan and his number is 03002356906 and guardians of the girl can collect her from Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police Station”.
When we ran a search, we found that Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police Station is in Karachi, Pakistan.

A video regarding the same incident was also uploaded by a Facebook user ‘Malik Sarfaraz Awan‘ (the policeman in the video) on November 4, 2018. The caption read, “Ye bachi mili hai ps khawaja ajmer nagri se jis kisi ki bhi ho police station se rabta kre. Sarfaraz awan 03002356906”

We also found several videos, dated 2018 stating that it is from Pakistan.

The above information proves that the incident is indeed from Pakistan and not Nagpur.
