Fact Check: This picture is NOT from Indonesia or Rwanda during lockdown

A picture has surfaced on the internet in which food packages can be seen kept in open for anyone to take free of cost. It is being claimed that the picture is from Rwanda during the lockdown time.
The caption of the picture read: “This what lockdown looks like in Rwanda, wonder how will the donated billions will reach our people”

We found more posts featuring the same photo with a different caption. The caption of the post read: “इंडोनेशिया में खुले में जरूरत का समान रखा जाता है कोई भी किसी समय ले जा सकता हैं ये होती है सच्ची मानव सेवा हमारे यहां रोटी देते हैं दो और फोटो खिंचवाते है आठ”
(Translation: “In Indonesia, essential commodities are kept in the open, anyone can take it at any time, this is true human service. We donate two pieces of bread here and take eight pictures.”)

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the picture and found that it is old.
On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found that the same picture was featured in a blog published in June, 2019.
The caption of the photo read: “Imam Jaiteh distributing food to needy village people, schools and orphans in the Gambia”

According to the blog, the Sheik with the help of his sister engaged in charity and made these contributions in the Gambia during the month of Ramadan. He kept food and other essential commodities in the open for the needy peoples in the villages, schools and orphans.
The above information proves that the picture is OLD and not related to lockdown due to COVID-19.
