A picture collage is doing rounds on social media which features pictures from PM Modi’s recent visit to Ladakh when he met soldiers injured in the clash with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley on the night of June 15-16.
It is being claimed that one of the Sikh soldiers in the picture with PM Modi is actually BJP leader from Delhi, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.
The same claim was made by several others which can be seen here.
FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be FAKE.
The original picture was shared by BJP on their official Twitter handle during PM Modi’s Ladakh visit on July 3, 2020.

On closely comparing the Bagga’s picture with the soldier, we can establish that the soldier in the picture with PM Modi is NOT Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, Bagga himself clarified that every Sikh wearing a kaada is not Bagga.

In conclusion, the above information proves that the viral post is FAKE as the soldier in the picture is NOT Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.
