Fact Check: Edited video of MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan's rally shared with false claim

A video of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is being circulated widely on social media.
In the video, when Chouhan asks who is better as the chief minister of MP, Kamal Nath or him, the public can be heard saying, Kamal Nath.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the video to be doctored.
We ran a keyword search and found that the rally was live-streamed on Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s YouTube channel on September 20, 2020.
According to the video title, the rally was held at Sitamau (Suwasra) in Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh.

We examined the video carefully and found that the viral clip was taken from 59:11 min of the video.
In the video, Chouhan says, “Tell me one more thing, who is a better CM, Kamal Nath or Shivraj Singh Chouhan?” To which the public can be heard saying ‘Shivraj’, and not ‘Kamal Nath’.
Retweeting the same video, shared by an official Congress Twitter handle, the official Twitter handle of BJP Madhya Pradesh wrote, “So IPL is not the only one using fake crowd noise.”


Shivraj Chouhan also shared the BJP tweet, mocking Madhya Pradesh Congress and calling it ‘INC Political Lies (IPL)’.


Hence, based on the above fact check, it is clear that the video in circulation is false and doctored.
