This picture is not from Kashmir; here's the fact check of the viral post

Amid tension in Jammu and Kashmir, a picture of a bloodied shoe belonging to a little girl is making rounds on social media which claimed to be from Kashmir.
Facebook user captioned the picture: “Shoe of a 10-year-old child who was the biggest threat to the whole India and Indian rulers for which biggest democratic country is sending thousands of Armed forces to kill such innocent children in Kashmir.” At the time of reporting the post was shared by over 4,500 users before it was deleted.

The picture is being used to defame the Army and its cruelty against innocent Kashmiris.
On twitter the same picture was shared attributed to the death of seven civilians in Kulgam, Kashmir recently. Reportedly, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces on while seven civilians lost their lives and 40 were injured following a blast at the encounter site.

FACT CHECK

When we put the image through the Google reverse image search, we found out that the viral picture is not from Kashmir and claims attributed to the image are FAKE.
The viral picture of a decade old picture from Israel’s Ashkelon city after a missile, fired by Palestinian militants inside the Gaza Strip, exploded on a mall on 14 May 2008.

Meanwhile, earlier in 2014, the same picture was liked to the deadly Peshawar School attack which claimed 135 lives.
