Indian Army didn't set houses on fire in Kashmir; here's the truth behind this video

Following the scrapping of Article 370, a video has surfaced on the internet in which houses can be seen burning and it has been claimed that the houses were burnt by the Indian Army in Kashmir.
The caption attached with the video read: “Indian Army Burns Kashmiri People’s Houses In Bandi Pura Indian occupied Kashmir and world is sleeping 😴😴😴”

At the time of filing of this report, the above video was shared by over 7,000 Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found that the claim attached with the video is false.
On putting the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, we came across a similar video dated March 27th, 2018 on a YouTube channel ‘ATV News Kashmir’.

According to the description of the video, four residential houses were gutted in a massive fire incident at Lachipora Uri, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
To verify, we did a Google Search with keywords such as ‘Uri’, ‘Residential houses’, ‘fire’ and we came across several news reports which confirmed that it was a fire incident and India Army didn’t set the houses on fire.

Hence, the above information proves that the claim attached to the viral video is FAKE.
